We Are Watches, So I Never Come Too Late

In een theaterhall heb ik grote plastic en rubberen gordijnen opgehangen (4m bij 2m). Ze waren gecombineerd met schelgekleurde plexi-werken. De afbeeldingen erop abstract, met suggesties van vuil, stof en ongecontroleerdheid. Het geheel werd omlijst met flauwe, sentimentele teksten.
De opening werd opgeluisterd door ‘Stalag 6’, een Brusselse punk-band die agressief geluid en body-art uitbraakte.
Ter gelegenheid van deze tentoonstelling werd een map met gezeefdrukte stripverhalen uitgegeven. Deze bepalen een sfeer van desoriëntatie en onmacht binnen de tentoonstelling.
In the hall of a theatre I hung large plastic and rubber curtains (4m by 2m). They were combined with harsh-coloured plexi-works. The images on them abstract with suggestions of dirt, dust and uncontrolableness. The whole was framed with insipid, sentimental texts.
The opening night was graced by ‘Stalag 6’, a Brussels punk-band which vomited aggressive sounds and body-art.
On the occasion of this show a folio with silk-screened strips was published, these define a sphere of disorientation and impotence within the exposition.
