'Club Moral' Performance-Konzert im Club Zero

1980 gründeten Anne-Mie van Kerckhoven und ihr Partner, der Performance-Künstler Danny Devos die Performance-Band 'Club Moral'. Es ging ihnen darum, die Grenzen bildender Kunst zu überwinden, weil die Situation ihrer eigenen Generation, der Psyche und der Gesellschaft in der Ära der Spät- oder Postmoderne, eine extreme künstlerische Haltung einforderte. Das von ihnen gestartete Kunst-Projekt 'Club Moral' erwies sich als zündend. Es entwickelte sich zu einem enorm verstörenden Moment in der Kultur der achtziger Jahre und zählt inzwischen auch zu den bedeutenden Dokumenten in der Szene von Noise und Industrial Music. Nach rund zehn Jahren musikalischer Pause arbeiten Anne-Mie Van Kerckhoven und Danny Devos seit 2001 erneut im Format 'Club Moral': Die irritierende Gewalt ihrer Performances bleibt, ebenso der Grad von Verstörung, den künstlerische Medien zu erzeugen in der Lage sein können...

They wanted to overcome the boundaries of visual art, because the situation of their own generation, with its psyche and society in the era of the late or postmodernism called for an extreme artistic attitude. The art project 'Club Moral' they started proved as brilliant. It developed to an enormously disturbing moment in the culture of the eighties and ranks in the meantime also among the most important icons in the scene of Noise and Industrial Music.
